Well, it's hard to believe but summer break will soon be over! We have been very busy having fun. The day school got out my sister Tammy and her son Daniel came to visit. We went to the LA zoo, the beach and more. We had a lot of fun.
The weekend after they left we got a really good deal on some tickets to Disneyland so we went for two days. The kids had a blast!
The next week on July 3rd we left for Utah, we love the 4th of July there. We went to the parade, a family reunion and saw some great fireworks. The one thing we didn't do that day was have a BBQ! But, we made up for it the next day and had one then.
While we were in Utah we went to Seven Peaks water park, hiked to Bridal Veil Falls, went to Thanksgiving point animal farm and dinosaur museum, went swimming a few times and just hung out. The kids loved spending time with their cousins and grandparents and Isabel fell in love with my parents little dog, they are best friends.
On our way home we decided to take a different route and detour to San Francisco. It was a lot of fun and the weather was great!!! We saw the Golden Gate bridge(with and without fog), went to Pier 39, took a boat tour, hiked through the Muir woods, explored fishermens warf, ate bread at the Boudin sourdough factory and smelled the wonderful chocolate at Ghiradelli square!
Then we had to come home :( back to reality, but in a way that is nice too! However, when we got home we had a few hundred unexpected visitors..... ants!!! I hate them, every single one of them. It drives me nuts!
A day after we got home Isaac said that he is bored and misses school! I enjoy the lazy days of summer but maybe by the end of August I will feel differently!
